On the issue of diagnosis and differential diagnosis of febrile catatonia at the present stage of development of psychiatry: Case Report

SUMMARY: The article is devoted to the analysis of the clinical case of a patient with a diagnosis of febrile catatonia, which developed as part of schizoaffective disorder. The algorithms for diagnosis, differential diagnosis of febrile catatonia using modern neuroimaging and immunological methods of examination and approaches to therapy are described in detail. The efficacy of the electroconvulsive therapy and the negative effect of antipsychotics have been shown.
